Licensed goods are those items that require an export license before they can pass through U.S. Customs. Export licenses are issued by the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The export sale of firearms and related articles is controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). See Defense Articles for more information.

Non-Licensed goods are common articles which do not require a formal  export license to pass through customs.

Import documents consist of licenses, permits, approvals and authorizations issued by the governing authorities in the destination country which allow the buyer to import the designated articles. To see more information on Import Documents click here.

Export Licenses are the official documents issued by the U.S. Government which identify the commodity being exported as well as the quantity, value, manufacturer, source, specific purpose, seller,  foreign consignee, and destination country of said articles.   The export license is the key to international shipment of licensed goods.

Defense Articles are those items designated by the President, Department of State, and Department of Defense as such articles. The items so designated constitute the United States Munitions List (USML). These articles include: firearms, artillery projectors, ammunition, missiles, torpedoes, bombs, mines, etc. The complete list can be found in ITAR  22 CFR 120-130.

Confirmed Orders are actual order confirmations of specific goods. The form is normally a purchase order or similar document stating the exact description of the goods being ordered. Company letterhead or company faxes with the required information can be accepted. To see more information on Confirmed Orders click here.
